Harbor adds new talent to its London VFX team
The studio strengthens its advertising offering with the hire of Josh Barlow and Meg Binning.
A continued build-out of Harbor’s London VFX department sees Josh Barlow and Meg Binning join the team, following recent additions including Lead Compositor Leah Ayinde and VFX Supervisor Gus Riberio.
Barlow arrives as a 3D generalist with experience across 2D, 3D, and stop-motion. After studying Animation Production at the Arts University Bournemouth, he began his career at Outpost VFX before moving to The Mill, contributing to advertising, episodic, and music video projects. His recent work includes Chick-fil-A’s Rocky Road, IKEA’s Hare, and Gorillaz’s Silent Running, alongside campaigns such as the Royal Marines’ Spider and O2’s Follow the Rabbit.
He has collaborated with studios including Electric Theatre Collective, nineteentwenty, Freefolk, Blinkink, Nexus, and Analog, and has worked with directors such as Sam Pilling, Nicos Livesey, Sam Brown, Nicolai Fuglsig, Siqi Song, Conor Finnegan, Smith & Foulkes, and FX Goby.
Sid Harrington-Odedra, 3D Supervisor, UK, says: “I'm absolutely delighted to have Josh join us as a CG Generalist. Ever since we worked together back at The Mill nearly ten years ago, Josh left a lasting impression as someone who could handle just about any task you throw his way. A generalist in the true sense of the word. We're looking forward to throwing some challenging tasks his way and helping him grow into a pillar of the team here at Harbor.”
Binning joins as a VFX production assistant with experience spanning writing, pre-production, marketing, and post-production. Originally from Dorset, she studied English at Plymouth University before completing a Master’s in Screenwriting in London.
She worked at Framestore across Film and Episodic, and later in Marketing and Events, supporting initiatives such as Empower and the Immortal Awards. In production, she has contributed to projects including a global campaign for Cartier, The Wheel of Time, and an immersive activation for Epic Universe.
Her background in story development and production enables her to translate scripts, interpret client briefs, and support teams through the end-to-end process. Outside work, she is an avid gamer and long-time Marvel fan.
Kirsty Murray, Head of Production, VFX, adds: “From our very first conversation, Meg's positive energy and passion were undeniable. I can't wait to see the impact she’ll bring to our team and to see her develop her production skills. We’re thrilled to have her with us.”
