In today’s fast-paced world, quality time with loved ones feels more precious than ever. And what could be more relaxing and bonding for stressed-out parents than building flatpack furniture together? 

Centred around this simple idea, furniture retailer IKEA Spain’s holiday campaign, created by McCann, The best gift is being present, invites everyone to ‘Activate Home Mode’ and give loved ones the most valuable thing of all: their presence. 

Directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa through Igloo Films with agency production by Craft Worldwide Spain, the campaign tells a touching story through the eyes of a child who, simply wanting his distracted parents’ attention, puts IKEA shelving on his Christmas list – secretly knowing that it takes two adults to assemble.
