A new signing at production company Love Song sees director Louis McCourt join the roster, marking his first official representation and supporting the company’s continued growth in the UK.

McCourt’s path into filmmaking began after contacting Daniel Wolfe in response to Catch Me Daddy, leading to a seven-year collaboration in which he progressed from image researcher to assistant director and then co-director. During this period he developed an approach rooted in street casting and directing real people, combining natural performances with story-driven imagery.

His work spans commercial and narrative projects. As part of a directing team with Will Dohrn, Bafic, Elliott Power, Justyna Obasi, and Wolfe, he contributed to Channel 4’s idents in 2023, which went on to win the Grand Prix at CICLOPE. His commercial credits include co-directing Clock Off and One for EE’s rebrand, directing Battle Stations for the EE Games Store, and receiving a Cannes Gold YDA Award for Life Delivered for Ocado through Uncommon Creative Studio. His short film No Faces was shortlisted at the YDA, and he most recently directed O2’s holiday spot Feel It All.

Daniel Wolfe, Co-Founder of Love Song, says: “I'm really happy that Louis is directing at Love Song, he's a rare talent. His knowledge of cinema, storytelling and most of all human emotion is like none other. He makes me care about the characters, he makes me care about the worlds. He creates films so immersive and believable; they're human, they're emotional. Without being sentimental—they’re honest, really honest. Could not be prouder to have him on the Love Song roster. Watch out.”

McCourt adds: “This partnership was a natural progression, one that I do not take for granted. Daniel Wolfe has mentored me since I was a runner who knew nothing about the industry, to now being a director, and it’s something I’m incredibly grateful for. Working so closely with him, Kelly, and Shirley [O’Connor] for the past few years, I’ve seen firsthand what a nurturing quality Love Song has. They’re the best of the best, and I’m elated to join the ranks of their directorial roster.”
