This new film from Apple is a brilliant, celebratory campaign that spotlights the multitude of accessibility features built into products across the Apple ecosystem.
Set to a musical number, the near-three-minute film highlights features such as Magnifier for Mac, Braille Access and Accessibility Reader, each of which is brand new to Apple devices this year. There is also reference to other features, such as VoiceOver, AssistiveTouch and Live Captions, that have long been relied upon by disabled users.
Created by Apple in-house and produced by Somesuch with direction by Kim Gehrig, who returns to Apple after helming the award-winning accessibility short The Greatest in 2022, the features are seamlessly integrated into the spot, showing students' daily routines and how the Apple products support disabled students to study, socialise and succeed on their own terms.
The joyous musical number features a wide range of deaf and disabled college students as they perform the song together across college campuses, in dormitories, at house parties and more. Through their collective voices, these students express a singular sentiment: that "remarkable" is a term that should be reserved for everyone.
