Directed by Elle Brooks-Tao through Nameless Lane, this impelling music video for Irish music artist Moncrieff authentically portrays the difficulties young men experience when expressing their emotions.
The film opens with the protagonist enjoying an ordinary night at the pub with his mates. He decides to leave early, and once outside breaks down in tears.
Emotive scenes show him sobbing as he walks through the dark streets, spliced together with touching, nostalgic footage of good times shared with his friends. The montage comes to an end and the song fades away as he walks into the ocean to take his own life.
A touching closing scene sees the main character sitting on the beach the next morning, finally opening up to his mates. Moncrieff's final message emphasises that it shouldn’t be strange to talk to your friends about how you feel.
