BANDIT Editorial signs editor Dahkil Hausif
Hausif brings a distinct voice, deep creative insight, and a commitment to meaningful narrative work to the New York-based editorial studio.
BANDIT Editorial announce the signing of Dahkil Hausif to its roster of award-winning editorial talent.
With over two decades of experience in storytelling and post-production, Hausif brings a distinct voice, deep creative insight, and a commitment to meaningful narrative work to the New York-based editorial studio.
A respected editor with credits across major brands such as ESPN, Beats by Dre, Champs Sports, Mastercard, and Ulta, Hausif’s career has been shaped by a passion for authenticity and craft. From his early days as a runner at Mad River Post to his pivotal roles at Spot Welders and NO6, Hausif has earned a reputation for his versatility, collaborative energy, and nuanced approach to editing.
“There’s a people-focused community and culture here,” says Hausif of joining BANDIT. “They embraced me the minute I walked in. It’s a return to craft, to storytelling with meaning, to having fun, and putting story into content in a way that protects and elevates the work.”
With a background steeped in movement and cultural awareness, having grown up as a self-described "military brat" across Guam, Illinois, and Japan, Hausif brings a unique lens to storytelling, shaped by constant change and perspective. His editorial voice is informed not only by technique but by a genuine reverence for the narrative form, influenced early by mentor and poet Professor Micere Mugo at Syracuse University.
In addition to his editorial work, Hausif is a co-founder of Men at Work Healing, and a trained sociocracy consultant, using systems thinking and empathy to foster inclusive creative environments.
“I’ve known Dahkil for years and was lucky to work with him in the past,” says Laura Relovsky, Executive Producer at BANDIT. “I honestly can’t say enough about his creativity, artistry and work ethic, which is matched only by his stellar personality and aura. He’s going to be an incredible complement to Bandit’s talented roster and team. He shares our philosophy and ethos, and we couldn’t be more excited to start our collaboration.”
With Hausif on board, BANDIT continues to deepen its commitment to creative excellence, diverse perspectives, and storytelling that moves.
