While much of the western world is gearing up for presents and whatnot later this month, in the Netherlands and Belgium the annual tradition of Sinterklaas is already wrapping up, as the 5 December celebration remains the region’s primary gift-giving moment.
Because of this, Sint himself will be schlepping it back to Spain, which, if you’ve followed the narrative of bol’s previous seasonal spot, means that ol' Saint Nick has been left in the lurch.
Continuing the sweet story, DEPT's next iteration, For Gifts That Matter, sees a young girl choose a fitting gift for a dejected Santa, giving him a simple and charming way to reconnect with his best friend; the tale aided by Holy Fools director Jelle de Jonge's clarity of storytelling.
