Courtney Phillips joins Agile Films
Signing for commercial and music video representation, Phillips is known for his dynamic choreography-driven storytelling across commercials and music videos.
Agile Films has welcomed director Courtney Phillips to its roster for commercial and music video representation.
A London native, Phillips honed his craft from a young age, gaining hands-on experience across multiple departments before transitioning into directing, a journey that has instilled meticulous attention to detail at every stage of production.
Dance has played a defining role in Phillips’ creative approach. Early in his career, he explored niche dance subcultures, capturing them with a fresh and distinctive perspective. His breakout moment came with his first music video for Bastille, leading to further collaborations with artists such as Khalid, Lisa, and Dermot Kennedy.
“His ambition and energy are contagious,” says Georgie Evans, head of sales at Agile Films. “Each piece of Courtney’s work carries a unique identity and cultural significance. I know I speak for the whole Agile team when I say we’re thrilled to have him on board.”
Phillips’ early commercial work for brands such as Superdry, New Balance, Miller Beer, Havana Club, BBC, and Trainline helped define his energetic, movement-driven style. Whether weaving choreography into his films or creating dynamic, youth culture-inspired pieces, his work consistently brings a bold visual identity.
A natural collaborator, Phillips remarks: “I’m always looking to push creativity, finding fresh ways to develop spots with style and innovation.” His commercial portfolio has since expanded to include work for Bose, Kia, Dr Pepper, McDonald’s, and Credit Suisse.
Beyond advertising, Phillips is currently developing a feature film script. “I’m a bit of a film fanatic, and right now, I’m working on a project I’m really excited about,” he says. “I’m also excited to be back in the mix with Agile, who are making waves across all mediums, from music videos to commercials to feature films.”
With Phillips’ addition, Agile Films continues to build on its reputation for championing directors who push creative boundaries across multiple formats.
