Born in Cape Town and based between South Africa and the US, Zinn brings a unique blend of cinematic craft, performance-driven direction, and emotional nuance to every project. Whether directing a brand film, fashion spot, or larger campaign, her work is defined by bold visual storytelling grounded in authentic human emotion. Zinn’s ability to elevate the everyday by capturing small, truthful moments with poetic impact makes her a powerful creative partner for brands looking to connect with audiences on a deeper level.
With a background in documentary and narrative filmmaking, Zinn brings a storyteller’s discipline to commercial work, balancing striking aesthetics with meaning and heart. Her films have screened at major international festivals, including Doc NYC, AFI Docs, MoMA Doc Fortnight, and Visions du Réel, and she has earned accolades, including a SAFTA Award and multiple Vimeo Staff Picks.

Zinn holds an MFA from Stanford University and is also represented by Bioscope Films in South Africa. With a confident narrative voice and an instinct for emotionally impactful visuals, she brings a fresh, elevated perspective to commercial filmmaking, one that connects, captivates, and lingers.
