Creative studio Alldayeveryday announce the signing of UK-based director Alicia MacDonald for US representation in advertising and branded content.

Renowned for her authentic comedic voice and strong performances, MacDonald has built an acclaimed portfolio across commercials, television, and film. Her debut feature film, Cc:Emily (Focus Features/Working Title Films) starring Angourie Rice (Mare of Easttown) and Spike Fearn, is currently in post-production.

MacDonald’s diverse directing career includes an episode and co-executive producing credit on Lena Dunham’s forthcoming Netflix series Too Much, as well as high-profile television credits on Flack (starring Anna Paquin), SisterS (Amazon Prime), The Outlaws (Stephen Merchant, BBC/Amazon), and Channel 4’s Pure.

In the commercial world, she has directed work for McDonald’s, Durex, Toyota, Jaguar, Nescafé, and Google, showcasing a comedic tone that connects through real, human moments. Her award-winning short films include Taxing (starring Charlotte Ritchie), Domestic Policy (with Leslie Manville), and Otherwise Engaged (featuring Hannah Arterton and Mark Quartley).

“She’s an immensely talented director who connects with audiences through comedy that is rooted in genuine, human moments,” says Michael Karbelnikoff, Founder and Executive Producer at Alldayeveryday. “We are thrilled to be working together.”

MacDonald is also signed with Missing Link Films in the UK, a longtime partner of Alldayeveryday. In 2024, Campaign Magazine named her one of the top five directors of the year, citing her in-flight safety film for travel brand TUI, Safety: A Global Film, as a standout. Her work has been recognised by the British Arrows, Kinsale Sharks, and has received honours at Cannes Lions via the YDA and NDA awards.

Known for its artist-first ethos and deep cultural fluency, Alldayeveryday blends media, technology, and creativity with an elevated aesthetic sensibility and close ties to the global art and entertainment community.
