Electric Theatre Collective lands in New York
The award-winning London studio opens its first US location, bringing its acclaimed VFX, colour, and design work to the East Coast under the leadership of Antonia Vlasto.
Award-winning creative studio Electric Theatre Collective has announced its expansion into the United States.
Situated at 166 Crosby Street, above the popular Café Lyria, the new New York location will mirror the London studio, offering high-end VFX, colour grading, and design for an increasingly global client base. Spearheading the launch is Antonia Vlasto, who steps into the role of Managing Director: New York following a seven-year tenure at Electric London as Executive Producer.
Since opening its doors in 2011, Electric Theatre Collective has built a formidable reputation for crafting boundary-pushing global work. The first-ever recipients of a D&AD Black Pencil for VFX for Cash In Cash Out, the studio has also earned accolades for Coca-Cola’s Masterpiece and The Heroes, including four Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards. In 2024, Electric was named ‘VFX Company of the Year’ at the Ad Age Creativity Awards, a title for which it is once again shortlisted in 2025. Most recently, the team contributed to GoDaddy’s 2025 Super Bowl commercial featuring Walton Goggins.
With the new studio reinforcing the company’s reputation for nurturing top-tier talent globally, Vlasto is already joined by a stellar line-up of producers and creatives. Executive Producer Polly Durrance makes the move from London to join Chris Connolly in New York. Senior Producers Katherine Miccio and Dara O'Cairbre, along with 2D VFX Supervisors Renato Carone and Ruairi Twohig and Compositor Jaymin Han, all arrive from The Mill NY.
Also joining the ranks is Creative Director Kyle Cody, formerly of Harbour, whose past work includes high-profile VFX campaigns and Super Bowl spots for brands such as Oreo and Ritz.
Cody commented: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining the incredibly talented team at Electric Theatre Collective. The London studio has set the standard for visual excellence, consistently producing some of the most striking and imaginative VFX work in the world. It’s an honour to help carry that legacy forward as we expand into the US. We’re not just showing up—we’re raising the bar.”
Vlasto added: “The launch of Electric in New York is a very special one for us. Not only does it mark a pivotal moment for the Collective, but we’re doing it with some of the best in the industry. We’re sticking to our DNA and focusing on creativity and culture, with a commitment to making our East Coast hub distinctly Electric.
We’ve been honing our craft and cultivating our culture in London for nearly fourteen years now, and there are so many elements we’re carrying across and imprinting on Electric NY. Our new space holds people, creative ambition, and our renowned sense of spirit at its heart, and I am incredibly honoured to welcome old clients and new to our Crosby Street home.”
Electric New York is now officially open for business, offering clients local access and global reach to the studio’s acclaimed roster of artists across colour grading, VFX, finishing, design, and animation.
