Toronto agency Courage and Spy Films director Greg Hackett collaborate on a marvellously mishap-packed work for RONA.
Depicting the nation's deep affection for hockey, the spot playfully shows how the love of the game can wreak havoc on people’s homes.
Soundtracked by Nazareth’s Love Hurts, we see the collateral damage on windows, doors, floors, walls and more, which is where the home improvement and construction product brand RONA comes in.
Hackett commented: “The moment I read the script Gerardo and Jesse over at Courage had crafted, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.” Says Hackett. “ I’ve always been drawn to simple stories that hold something deeply human at their core. I may not have spent my childhood hitting hockey balls into garage doors like they did, but I immediately recognised a truth in it that was too compelling to pass up.” This is Hackett’s first collaboration with award winning indie agency Courage, shot on Kodak film in the heart of Toronto.
