Dublin-born director Kojaque – who’s recently signed to Pulse – has crafted a highly entertaining music video for Kean Kavanagh’s track A Cowboy Song.
Produced by Roamer, it’s the second in the director’s trilogy of stirring films for the Irish artist and tells the tragi-comic story of Pa 'The Hips' Campion, a down-on-his-luck Elvis impersonator and Portlaoise football club kit man who clings to fragments of small-town glory while descending into drink-fuelled despair about his lonely life.
Kojaque blends humour and melancholy, to create a tender portrait of a sad clown, cavorting in his underpants and sending maudlin messages to a much-missed son from a broken relationship.
For more adventures with ‘The Hips’ look out for Kojaque’s soon-to-be-released third promo in the Kean Kavanagh trilogy, Father Browns.
