Neighborhood Watch welcome filmmaker Douglas Guillot to its roster of talent.

The French director brings a unique blend of wonder, reverence for nature, and a passion for powerful cinema. His artistic sensibility translates into beautifully composed films that captivate and inspire.

Guillot’s directing career began at the avant-garde publication Desillusion Magazine, where he shot key figures from the world of skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding through candid, documentary-style short films. Approaching his subjects instinctively and directly, his high-level craftsmanship and well-choreographed camera moves allow Guillot to play with elements of spontaneity on set to capture authentic, genuine moments. Through his energetic and dynamic framing, he mines moments of kinesthetic bursts, quick motion, and other heightened states for highly watchable emotional storytelling.

An ode to the meditative practice of endurance running, his captivating, surreal film LSD: Long Slow Distance for emerging brand Satisfy Running earned a Vimeo Staff Pick, and recent Manors Golf campaign The End of Summer is Nigh further underscores his ability to merge cinematic storytelling with brand identity. Guillot is also the director behind the NOWNESS film The Sun Never Set On Me, which artistically profiles the multi-hyphenate artist Julien Jaca as he recovers from a personal tragedy, and his skill for lensing subjects in their unique environments led to similar projects like Grain of Hope, a film that tells the story of Michelin-starred chef Ángel León harvesting rice grown in the ocean. Additional commercial work from Guillot includes spots for Audemars Piguet, The North Face, Adidas, Billabong, Renault, Armani, Infiniti, and more.

Guillot says of signing with the award-winning production company, “I feel I’ve reached a stage in my career where I want to surround myself with strong partners who will help share my work with new audiences, especially in the US. I’m excited to begin this journey with Neighborhood Watch and to see where our work together can lead.”

Dal Wolf, Neighborhood Watch EP and Managing Director, adds, “Doug is a visionary storyteller rooted in the raw energy of skate, surf, and youth culture. I’ve been watching his work for over a year now, and his ability to make the unseen impossible to ignore is nothing short of inspiring. Through his dynamic use of camera language, he crafts narratives that pulse with life, capturing fleeting micro-moments and orchestrating visually stunning sequences that highlight the essence of his subjects. Doug literally and figuratively puts his subjects in their best light. We’re beyond excited to welcome him to the Neighborhood Watch family and can’t wait to bring his boundary-pushing work stateside.”
