In this strangely captivating promo for Nigerian artist Obongjayar’s track Sweet Danger, director Sophie Jones juxtaposes an eclectic cast against the gloomy grey backdrop of a seedy South London Hotel.
Produced by Somesuch, the film is a striking and varied montage of bold characters from all walks of life, from a man clad in grey tracksuits to an oiled-up female bodybuilder, each leaning into their own version of beauty and danger.
Spliced between this strange sequence of characters are shots of the artist himself, up-close and POV, kitted out in studded leather whilst riding a reckless and unpredictable mechanical bull - a metaphor for life itself.
