Ramy Youssef and Amir Farhang join forces at Caviar
The award-winning director Ramy Youssef and director Amir Farhang form a new commercial directing partnership at Caviar.
Academy Award-winning independent production company Caviar announce a new commercial directing partnership between Emmy nominated creator and actor Ramy Youssef and Cannes Grand Prix-winning director Amir Farhang.
The collaboration was born organically out of recent commercial projects featuring LeBron James and Kevin Hart, and has since evolved into an ongoing creative partnership rooted in a shared cinematic language.
Both Youssef and Farhang are recognised for their ability to merge storytelling authenticity with wit, visual precision, and cultural nuance. As a directing duo, they form a dynamic and distinct creative force that aligns perfectly with Caviar’s reputation for producing bold, emotionally resonant, and stylistically original work across both branded content and entertainment.
“What excites us about Ramy and Amir is how naturally their sensibilities complement each other,” says Tova Dann, Executive Producer at Caviar. “They share an ability to tap into culture and character with depth and humour, and the result is work that feels honest, layered, and refreshing. We’re excited to support their collaboration as it evolves”, Adds Michael Sagol, Managing Partner at Caviar.
Youssef brings a signature blend of humour and cinematic depth to the collaboration. He is the co-creator, executive producer, and star of #1 Happy Family USA, the adult animated series from A24 and Cairo Cowboy, which premiered on Prime Video in April 2025 and received a Gotham TV Award nomination for Breakthrough Comedy Series. He recently starred in Jesse Armstrong’s HBO Original Film Mountainhead, opposite Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, and Cory Michael Smith, and appeared in the acclaimed Apple TV+ series The Studio from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Behind the camera, Youssef earned Emmy and DGA nominations for his direction of The Bear episode Honeydew and for his work on Hulu’s Ramy. He also made his feature debut in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Oscar-winning Poor Things.
Farhang, a former Chief Creative Officer at SpringHill Entertainment (founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter), brings a multifaceted storytelling background that spans commercial, branded, narrative, and documentary formats. With a foundation in advertising and a director’s eye for visual innovation, Farhang is known for his cultural fluency, comedic instincts, and ability to craft work that resonates across audiences and platforms.
Together, Youssef and Farhang are actively developing commercial projects and will continue to be represented by Caviar.
Youssef is also repped by WME, Entertainment 360, Narrative, and Yorn Levine.
