Audio post-production studio Sound Lounge has unveiled a newly renovated ADR stage at its New York City facility.

The upgrade includes a larger recording space and improved technical capabilities, designed to enhance both collaboration and client experience.

The reconfigured room has been rotated 90 degrees to improve sight lines between talent and the control room. A redesigned talkback system allows for clearer communication during both in-person and remote sessions.

“This new studio elevates everything we’re already known for at Sound Lounge: a client focused experience, and seamless tech,” said ADR Mixer Patrick Christensen. “We want our clients to feel relaxed, confident, and taken care of from the moment they step off the elevator.”

The 300-square-foot recording stage features a 115-inch projection screen and theatre-grade M&K speakers for cinematic playback. The setup is loop-group friendly and accommodates directors, editors and talent comfortably.

With nearly 20 years of ADR experience, the team at Sound Lounge has prioritised technical performance and user comfort in the redesign, aiming to deliver a seamless post-production environment.

“Tight post calendars and busy talent schedules can make records a challenge,” noted Executive Producer Rob Browning. “It’s easy to build a room, but a space is only as good as the team running the session. Whether it’s a child actor recording for the first time or an Oscar-winning actress between Broadway performances, there’s no team with a better mix of technical expertise and interpersonal acumen.”

Behind the scenes, the latest Pro Tools software and hardware ensure bulletproof stability and unparalleled efficiency. Custom acoustical treatments blend form and function, creating a professional and comfortable atmosphere perfect for high end talent and projects.

As Sound Lounge settles into its new space, the team encourages clients to experience the ADR stage for themselves. From tours of the redesigned studio to fully booked sessions, they’re excited to showcase what’s next in audio post.
