Stink Studios expands senior creative team
The studio strengthens its leadership with Rick Dodds, Kat Thomas and Cameron Temple.
New additions to Stink Studios’ creative leadership see Rick Dodds join as Executive Creative Director, while Kat Thomas is promoted to Creative Director, working alongside long-serving ECD Cameron Temple.
The hires follow recent work for clients including Vinted and Canva, as well as new business wins across LOEWE, Hoka, Manors and Airalo, as the independently owned studio plans for growth in 2026.
Jax Ostle-Evans, Managing Director, says: “Stink Studios has evolved a few times in my 13 years here and this next chapter is all about investing in original thinking and our ability to bring truly impossible to ignore creative ideas to our clients.”
Dodds joins from Don’t Panic, where he served as Creative Partner. His work has received two British Arrow Grand Prix awards and more than 20 Cannes Lions, with credits including T-Mobile’s Dance and Welcome Back. Speaking on his move, he says: “As many contributing factors change the shape of our industry, Stink Studios heritage of combining cutting edge tech and razor sharp creative thinking makes the studio uniquely placed to flourish in the coming landscape. There’s an incredible hunger to make famous work here which runs right through the studio. Every person I talked to embodied this enthusiasm for bold thinking. On top of that, they are a truly lovely group of human beings, which made the opportunity of joining them impossible to turn down.”
Temple adds: “As we build for the future, our focus on strategic thinking, cultural relevance, disruptive creativity, and unparalleled craft is sharpening. Rick brings an amazing history of storytelling and brand-building expertise that perfectly complements our ambition.”
Dodds’ seven years at Don’t Panic included work recognised with Yellow D&AD Pencils, multiple British Arrows and Creative Circle Golds. Earlier in his career he spent two years as ECD at Droga5 London, five years as Creative Director at Droga5 New York, and seven years at Saatchi & Saatchi.
Thomas moves into the role of Creative Director after three and a half years at Stink Studios, where she has produced work for Google, NOW and Canva. Her previous experience includes roles at JWT in London and Australia, working on campaigns for HSBC, Kellogg’s, Subway and Debenhams. She says: “Making famous work that reaches beyond adland is what every creative gets into the industry for, so I’m super excited for the next chapter and making more of the stuff that everyone and their nan is talking about.”
