Somesuch announce the promotion of Tash Tan to Managing Director and Executive Producer of Somesuch UK, effective June 9th.

In her new role, Tan will oversee all UK operations and report directly to Somesuch Founding Partners Sally Campbell and Tim Nash.

Since joining the company in 2011 to launch its music video division, Tan has played an integral role in shaping Somesuch’s creative legacy. Under her leadership, the company has delivered era-defining work for artists such as Frank Ocean and Dua Lipa, and forged lasting creative partnerships across advertising, publishing, and production. Tan’s producer credits span high-impact projects for Chanel, Es Devlin, and others, reflecting a rare blend of strategic insight and creative vision.

Tan’s appointment follows a successful tenure as Deputy Managing Director, a role she began in 2023. Recent highlights include EA Sports FC 25’s launch film For The Club directed by Rollo Jackson, King She’s The Window, the first instalment of John Lewis’s 2023 Christmas campaign, and EE’s Playdate and Empty Nest directed by Caleb Femi.

In a concurrent leadership move, Kayleigh Leeson has been promoted to Operations Director. Formerly General Manager, Leeson will work closely with Tan to oversee the daily operations of the London office and provide strategic, financial, and cultural guidance across the business. She will also lead initiatives supporting emerging talent and further strengthening company culture.

Tan commented: “I’m honoured to be taking the role as Managing Director of Somesuch, a company that I truly believe is one of the strongest and most uncompromising creative forces in the industry globally. Having worked at the company for many years, I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of its growth and successes, so this feels like a very natural step for me.

We are living in a time of constant change: bold creativity and innovation have never been more necessary. This is deeply embedded in the DNA of both Somesuch and my personal working ambition; I’m thrilled to be leading the company with this mission firmly at the forefront.”

Tim Nash, Co-Founder of Somesuch, added: “Tash and Kayleigh are extraordinary executives who have been at Somesuch for a long time. They understand the DNA of the company better than anyone else. We’re so excited to move into this next chapter with an all-female leadership team.”
