TBWA\Media Arts Lab promotes Matt Paterno and Parker Adame to group creative directors
Paterno and Adame have been creative partners at MAL for over seven years, rising through the ranks together.
Apple’s bespoke global creative agency, TBWA\Media Arts Lab (MAL) has announced the promotion of Matt Paterno and Parker Adame to Group Creative Directors in its Los Angeles office. They will continue to report to Brent Anderson, Global Chief Creative Officer.
Paterno and Adame have been creative partners at MAL for over seven years, rising through the ranks together. Their work includes four Emmy-nominated films, such as the privacy campaign Flock, the holiday film Heartstrings, Quiet the Noise, and Jump for AirPods Pro. They have also crafted standout campaigns like Another Birthday for Apple’s annual September event and reimagined the iconic Silhouettes for AirPods featuring Harry Styles.
“Matt and Parker represent the best of what Media Arts Lab stands for, relentless creative appetite, meticulous craft, and an unwavering commitment to making impact for Apple,” said Anderson. “They’ve continued to grow together at this agency in remarkable ways and their promotion to Group Creative Directors is a testament to both their individual talents and the strength of their partnership.
Before joining MAL, both Paterno and Adame honed their skills at TBWA\Chiat\Day, where they created iconic, award-winning work for Gatorade.
“Working with Parker has brought the best out of me, the teams we collaborate with, and the work itself. He has an uncanny ability to recognise what truly matters, always extracting it, in both concept and execution, in its purest form,” said Paterno.
“Matt is the rare mix of instinct and discipline, wildly talented yet deliberate in his craft. He shapes creative with unbelievable precision and elevates everyone around him. Collaborating with him has been the highlight of my career,” said Adame.
“For us, this promotion isn’t just recognition, it’s a reminder of what’s possible when a team moves with shared purpose. From here, our focus is on building space for great work and great people and shaping the department into a place where everyone can grow,” they added.
As Group Creative Directors, Paterno and Adame will take on expanded leadership responsibilities, oversee multiple creative teams and help shape the creative department and vision for Apple across different platforms and products.
