Whilst most of us wouldn't do anything too risky in the fleeting moments before our Ubers arrive, for fear of the dreaded one-star rating, the same cannot be said of the app-crossed lovers in Mother New York's new spot.
Created as an anthem for the There Are Drivers In Your Area campaign, In Good Time, directed by MJZ’s Michael Spiccia, leaps in and out of a pair's romance at key moments, all punctuated by imminent travel plans.
Gorgoeusly shot and performed, and with a neat 'countdown' hook that gives a lovely structure, this hero clip complements three :15s commercials that pinpoint very unique user-case scenarios.
“This campaign is about the tapestry of life that happens across America’s suburbs every day and the way Uber is a thread keeping it all together and moving," explains Oriel Davis-Lyons, CCO at Mother New York.
"It’s a big, expansive story-driven platform for a brand that is inextricably woven into the fabric of daily life in America.”
“Our new campaign reminds consumers of the moments when Uber can help you get around," adds Georgie Jeffreys, Head of Marketing at Uber, North America, "whether it’s heading to the airport, travelling with your dog, or when your own car lets you down.
"We’re reimagining how Uber fits into daily life outside the city, because wherever you are, there’s a driver you can count on."
