Robot announce the return of acclaimed South African director Zandi Tisani to its roster.

Rejoining the production company where her distinctive voice first gained momentum, Tisani steps back into the commercial space with renewed purpose, sharpened creativity, and a bold new lens shaped by motherhood.

Known for her vibrant fusion of narrative storytelling, docu-style authenticity, and fashion-forward aesthetics, Tisani has long thrived at the intersection of concept and culture. Now, after 14 transformative months in what she calls her “mom-era,” she’s re-emerging with deeper clarity and fierce creative intent.

“Motherhood has changed me in ways I’m still discovering,” Tisani reflects. “It’s taught me to be fully present, to commit moment by moment. That shift in focus has given me a creative charge I haven’t felt in years.”

Tisani’s past work for brands like Spotify, Nike, and NTS reflects a signature blend of cinematic polish, documentary intimacy, and visual intelligence. With a background steeped in literature and a passion for translating abstract ideas into striking imagery, her storytelling continues to evolve with a personal, purposeful edge.

Tisani's return to Robot marks not just a homecoming, but the start of a new chapter. One that honours her journey, while embracing a bold redefinition of her creative voice.

“I feel grounded in my experience, but revitalised,” she says. “The world feels like it’s shifting. In a way, I’ve been training for this moment. I’m ready to meet it with intention, honesty, and fire.”

Tisani is particularly excited to explore collaborations with brands whose stories align with her deepened perspective, campaigns centered around family, identity, coming-of-age, and emotional growth. At the same time, she remains rooted in her origins: striking work in fashion, music, and culture.

“I’m bursting to get back on set,” she adds. “There’s something powerful about returning to the work with a broader sense of self. I’m here to make work that resonates.”

With her return, Robot continues to strengthen its powerhouse roster, welcoming Tisani back at a time when her voice is not just welcome, but necessary.
