Car servicing isn’t exactly blockbuster material, unless you add a vampire, some zombies and a chainsaw-wielding maniac.

Directed by Gustav Egerstedt and produced by Giants & Toys, Toyota Denmark’s new horror-inspired campaign turns simple car features into life-saving punchlines in these three cinematic spots.

“Nobody stops scrolling for a warranty. But they might for a vampire repelled by an overhead light.” said Nikolaj Ledet, CMO Toyota Denmark.

The spots play out like real horror films, with attention to detail in the creature design, practical effects and zero AI shortcuts, all in service of one simple message: with Toyota’s car warrant you can trust your car to just work. The campaign was created by creative agency Marketsquare out of Copenhagen. 

“The films had to play by horror’s visual rules to break the advertising ones.” says director Gustav Egerstedt.
