Creative production studio 1stAveMachine has officially signed Tim Bierbaum to its global roster. 

The Amsterdam-based director is known for his signature style, absurd yet grounded storytelling, combined with a knack for eliciting natural performances from both non-actors and celebrities alike.

Bierbaum first made waves with the cult YouTube hit Everyone’s Upstairs Neighbors, and has since built a reputation for short-form comedy that blends wit, relatability, and an irreverent creative voice. His work spans acclaimed campaigns for META, Google, the United Nations, and CeraVe, among others.

Bierbaum has already led several high-impact campaigns with the studio. His signing formalises a long-running creative partnership and underscores 1stAveMachine’s continued investment in directors who challenge the conventions of branded storytelling.

Bierbaum’s early career was rooted in sketch comedy, directing digital series for Comedy Central (Broad City, Alternatino) and Netflix (Astronomy Club). His client list also includes Above Average, Entertainment Weekly, Pop Sugar, Mojo Supermarket, Snapchat, and The ACLU.

A true actor’s director, Bierbaum brings a warm, collaborative presence to set, creating space for bold comedic instincts and subtle emotional nuance alike. With this signing, 1stAveMachine continues its tradition of championing inventive voices and elevating creative storytelling on a global scale.
