There are 19 categories in total, spanning music genres, technical roles, and special prizes among which also an award for the Best International Music Video. On top of that, three additional awards will be assigned: the top prize for Best Italian Music Video (chosen among the night’s winners), and two editorial awards from Billboard Italia and a student jury. This year saw nearly 300 video submissions, an all-time record for the awards.
Leading the nominations is Damiano David, with five nods for Silverlines, produced by Partizan and directed by Nono Ayuso and Rodrigo Inada. He’s followed by Mahmood (four, evenly split between Tuta Gold and Ra Ta Ta) and La Rappresentante di Lista (Paradiso, four). Also making the shortlist are Angelina Mango, Cesare Cremonini, Genetik, Mace (with Salmo and Centomilacarie), Novze, and Prima stanza a destra, all with three nominations. Fulminacci, Lamante, Tre allegri ragazzi morti, and surprises Assurdité and The Frog each picked up two.

The Director of the Year award will be contested by Attilio Cusani, Bendo, Nicolò Bassetto, Tommaso Ottomano, and Simone Peluso. Meanwhile for the International award.
As for production companies, Borotalco dominates the field with 27 nominations, setting an all-time record, followed by C41 and Partizan (both with five, the latter for Silverlines, of course), and Maestro + Think Cattleya with three.
