Director Spike Jonze has form for Apple, with his amazing 2018 FKA twigs-starring spot, Welcome Home, for the HomePod. Now, he's back and this time everyone's favourite Mandalorian steps onto centre stage.

Created by TBWA\Media Arts Lab Los Angeles and produced through MJZ, we open on Pascal walking away from a woman in a restaurant, an obvious break-up having just taken place.

His heartbreak is reflected in the icy landscape he steps into outside the restaurant and also, after he pops in his AirPods, in the emotive sound of Guitarricadelafuente’s Conticinio, which he starts listening to.

When Pascal activates the Active Noise Cancellation [ANC] mode, the world then seems to recede further, with sounds much less prominent and people balletically moving out of his way.

But, after being stopped for directions, Pascal notices something in the distance. Across the street he sees a future version of himself in a sunny climate, with friends, happy and laughing. One of his friends says "glad to have you back", seemingly referencing that this is a future, post-break-up Pascal, back in the world.

From there, after once again activating his ANC, the scene transforms into a vibrant, red and yellow background and Pascal, upbeat and energetic, dances his way through the environment to Perfect, by Sam i (featuring Tropkillaz, Bia and MC Pikachu). The cinematic, five minute film beautifully captures how technology and music can transform our emotional experience.
