Created by Dept and directed by Jelle de Jonge through Holy Fools, this heartwarming and humorous festive spot for Dutch e-commerce platform Bol unites two beloved gift-giving figures; Dutch Sinterklaas and Santa Claus.
For those unaware – Sinterklaas is centuries-old Dutch and Belgian saint, based on Saint Nicholas, who delivers gifts on December 5th. It's the cultural equivalent of Christmas Eve in terms of emotional and social significance.
The touching hero film follows a young girl with one seemingly impossible wish: to celebrate the holidays with both of her separated parents together. When Sinterklaas and Santa discover she wants to, the two legendary figures embark on festive outings to find the perfect gift that will reunite Anna's family for one special evening.
