Call Me Al join forces with Bunker
The directing duo that occasionally shares a toothbrush brings fresh bite to Bunker’s roster.
Commercial production company Bunker welcome Call Me Al to its roster.
Husband-and-wife duo Alisa Allapach and Phillip Montgomery bring, like their marriage, a fresh spin and a wild edge to fun-loving, emotionally charged storytelling, perfectly in tune with Bunker’s taste for bold, gut-punch work.
Call Me Al's work includes collaborations with global brands from Google, McDonald’s, Deloitte, The Home Depot, Uber, Cox Business, Guinness, Jack Daniel’s, and the upcoming LA28 Olympics. Their mantra is to serve the story, make it beautiful, keep collaboration front and centre, and never stop evolving with the times.
As Allapach puts it: “We’re full-tilt, jack-of-all-trades storytellers. We just wanna’ make great films, no matter the screen size, cool new camera, or whatever flavour-of-the-week AI model just dropped. We love it all and do it all.”
Montgomery adds: “We’ve worked with brands for TV and Social big enough to have 200-person legal teams and small enough they can only pay us in merch. That’s why we’re honoured to be a part of Bunker’s roster, they’re an incredible group of people that can make a blockbuster or a shoestring feel the same. They’re cutting-edge, they get it done, and they make it fun.”
Bunker EP Jay Wert adds: “Phillip and Alisa have an uncanny instinct for rhythm and camera language, always in service of performance. With roots in film and television, Phillip brings a deep understanding to both narrative and doc, while Alisa’s journey from world champion skater to actress gives her a natural feel for movement and emotion. Together, they direct with heart, and serious style.”
And why the name? Allapach adds: “Two reasons. First, to honour my dad, Al Allapach, a Thai immigrant whose tough upbringing and resilience continue to inspire us. And second… cause’ we’re crazy Paul Simon super fans.
