London based creative production company Zukunft release music video for Charlotte Planks’ upcoming single Candy Stores.

Led by director Sinclair, an all female team of HoDs; Chaimuki - DOP, Naomi Feld - Set Designer, Elle Fell - Stylist, Shani Mushington - HMU and Sidney Williams at Cabin LA - Editor, brought the magical candy store world to life in a surrealist twist on suburban bliss, where the bright polish of a 1950s dreamscape gives way to a darker undercurrent. In her new single, Charlotte Plank invites listeners into a warped reflection of the world we live in, a glossy facade masking a modern dystopia.

Plank plays the role of a quiet observer in the store. As the track builds, mannequins begin to stir and the line between artificial and real blurs. The mannequins were cleverly portrayed by a cast of real people, made possible by the incredible work of the hair and make-up team, who crafted strikingly realistic looks.

The shoot took place in a warehouse in South Tottenham, sourced by shoot producer James De Winton. It proved to be the ideal setting for building the various dystopian sets that brought the story to life.

The 23-year-old Australian–British singer, songwriter and producer, Charlotte Plank is known for her sharp fusion of drum and bass, pop and ‘90s rave energy. With emotionally charged vocals and razor-sharp production, she’s become one of the most compelling new voices in the UK electronic scene.

Candy Stores is a high-octane release, driving drum and bass rhythms, layered synths and bold storytelling collide in a sound that feels urgent and unfiltered. It’s Plank at her most cinematic, raw, rebellious and totally addictive.
