Common People Studio announce the signing of award-winning director Nico Bori for exclusive representation in the United Kingdom.

Common People Studio has followed Bori’s creative journey for several years, ever since his debut self-produced film Breaking Glass captured international attention and won numerous accolades, including honours from shots, YDA, Ciclope, Clio, Berlin Commercial, 1.4, and the Kinsale Shark Awards, among others.

After leaving his role as Creative Director at Google to pursue his passion for filmmaking full time, Bori has developed a distinctive and visually bold directing style. His personal projects, renowned for their cinematic storytelling, visual sophistication, and emotional depth, quickly established him as one of the most exciting emerging voices in contemporary commercial filmmaking.

It was this commitment to originality and creative excellence that drew Common People Studio to bring him onto their roster. “Nico’s work immediately stood out to us,” said Ramy Dance, Co-Founder of Common People Studio . “After meeting him at Ciclope a few years ago, I couldn’t stop thinking about how impressive his personal projects were. If that’s what he can create with limited budget, imagine what he can do with the right resources. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the family and can’t wait to see the incredible work he’ll produce in the UK market.”

Bori’s recent personal commercial project has also garnered industry recognition, receiving a nomination in this year’s shots Awards, further highlighting his remarkable creative talent and craft.

Reflecting on the partnership, Bori shared: “I’m incredibly excited to take this next step and join Common People in the UK. I’ve always admired the creativity that comes out of this market, it feels bold, irreverent, and refreshingly diverse. The mix of international talent and that very British sense of humour, irony, and even absurdity is something I really connect with.

I come from a background that values curiosity and experimentation, so finding a market where risk-taking is part of the creative DNA feels like a perfect match. There’s a freedom in how UK agencies approach storytelling, they dare to surprise, to twist expectations, and to make things that feel alive.

I can’t wait to start collaborating with the teams here, pushing ideas forward together and hopefully adding my own flavour to the mix.” With his proven ability to craft sharp, engaging narratives and an instinct for visually striking storytelling, Bori is poised to make a significant impact on the UK commercial and film landscape.
