Markenfilm Group announce the signing of British director Edward Andrews for exclusive representation across Germany and Switzerland.

Andrews is celebrated for his unique ability to blend emotionally resonant storytelling with visual precision and a signature touch of surreal humour. His work effortlessly straddles the line between relatable human insight and cinematic artistry, often elevated through refined composition and seamless VFX integration.

Before transitioning to directing, Andrews forged a successful career in visual effects, working as a compositor at DNeg on Oscar-winning teams for Blade Runner 2049, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and the Harry Potter series. This strong technical foundation continues to inform his directing work, with a cinematic language that is rich in detail, atmosphere, and storytelling clarity.

As a director, Andrews has helmed standout campaigns for major global brands including Google, Intuit, Lego, and McDonald’s. His films are known for their polished craft, narrative subtlety, and imaginative edge, whether told through live action, animation, or a hybrid of both.

His work has earned accolades across the industry, including the prestigious shots New Director of the Year award, confirming his place as one of the most exciting new voices in commercial filmmaking.
