EXIT announce the signing of Florence Noble to its directing roster.

Known for her deadpan comedic style and sharp writing, Noble brings a cross-disciplinary perspective to comedy directing, melding her experience as an actor, copywriter, and filmmaker.

Noble most recently starred in Michael Duignan’s science fiction comedy The Paragon, which earned 4.4 stars and was selected by The New York Times as one of the “Five Sci-Fi Movies to Stream Right Now.” With a background as a copywriter at TBWA in London, Johannesburg and Auckland, she brings an understanding of the advertising world from both sides of the camera.

Born into the industry as the daughter of a creative director, Noble grew up immersed in advertising before branching into writing, acting, and directing comedy. Her career highlights include collaborations with Nick Boshier (Bondi Hipsters), participation in the MIFF Accelerator programme, a scholarship with the New Zealand Film Commission, and a Best Emerging Talent nomination at AXIS.

“Florence brings this cross-pollinated potpourri to her comedic directing,” says Wilf Sweetland, Co-Managing Partner at EXIT. “When I watched The Psychiatrist, I saw great writing, comedic timing and, of course, a great reveal, that is Florence. Disarmingly charming and a joy to work with. We are so pumped she’s now with EXIT across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.”

Florence Noble added: “Thrilled to be welcomed into the EXIT fold. Very much looking forward to collaborating on some proper funny stuff.”

Noble’s work exemplifies a rare mix of wit, instinctive comic timing, and a true understanding of brand storytelling, positioning her as a standout voice in advertising comedy.
