RadicalMedia director Coral Brown had this to say about the shoot:

"The project began with a brilliant open brief: Choose a Habitat product and build a short film around how it changes the energy of a home. That openness immediately pulled me in. It felt like an opportunity to shape something playful and character-driven while also stepping into comedy in a way I’d been wanting to explore for a long time.

When I started writing, the challenge became finding a tone that felt dry and honest. I loved the idea of using fourth-wall moments to bring the narrator’s inner dialogue forward those fleeting, unfiltered thoughts we all have but never say out loud.

Because we only had one day to shoot, the writing and creative process had to be incredibly intentional. I built the story and shotlist around what we could realistically achieve without compromising performance or subtlety."

"Simplifying the film became part of its identity fewer setups, cleaner beats, and letting the actors play within a world that felt lived-in rather than overly constructed. Chloe’s casting changed the tone instantly; she brought a softness and relatability to the narrator that opened up a warmer, more human version of the story. Instead of the character feeling defensive, she felt relatable, someone trying to navigate change with a sense of humour rather than frustration.

Building the team around the project was just as important. Ash Horne really brought a calm and clarity as creative producer, keeping ambition in the right places and giving me the space to stay focused on tone, performance.

Radical supported us throughout and trusted the direction the piece was taking, which allowed the film to stay true to the idea. In post, working with Becca Spaven at Marshall Street was a perfect match; her open, honest approach to editing let the humour breathe and protected the emotional beats that sit just beneath the surface.

For me, this film became a chance to explore a new corner of my voice while staying rooted in the small human behaviours I love directing the quiet shifts in relationships, a shared look that changes everything, the moment someone softens without meaning to."
