Paula Canovas del Vas presents her AW25 collection through Is There a Thought You Would Like to Share?, a trilogy of experimental films directed by JB Braud.
Three films, three people, three settings, three visions: each unfolding as surreal echoes within distinct rooms. The central characters struggle to shape their thoughts, their minds racing through fragments of memories, pop culture, news, and other consumed images (those were made using AI tools). Over this stream of visions, words lingers in the environment on connection and the fragile act of forming thoughts. Until something sparks.
Filmed within the Spanish Embassy in Paris during Canovas’ AW25 Fashion Week show, the series expands on her exploration of language, chaos, and creative freedom. Inspired by Jenny Holzer and Gillian Wearing, the show unfolded as a live performance where guests created messages from limited letters while models assembled words across a mahogany table. These words and live images resurface in Braud’s films as the inner world of the characters, creating a meta-reflection on authorship and how artists can spark the voices of others.
