A mundane space becomes a portal to surreal landscapes in this mesmerising and cleverly crafted music video, helmed by Bleu Désert through Henry for Le Pré-Saint-Gervais-based rapper Lesram’s track, Takita.
The film opens inside a run-down looking lift, where we remain for the full three-and-a-half-minutes as the camera orbits a central point. Characters from all walks of life appear and vanish with each rotation, while elevator doors become a portal to contrastingly natural and increasingly ethereal dreamscapes.
Shot between Marseille, Montpellier, and the Camargue, the film takes the form of a minimalist road movie contained within a single set. Using motion control, the camera's circular movement create an almost hypnotic rhythm that mirrors the cycle of everyday life.
