Created in partnership with denim clothing brand Levi's London, this stylish and insightful documentary short directed by Jade Ang Jackman captures the incredible story of two fearless women.
Titled The Croydon Cowgirl, the film weaves a soulful and empowering narrative of how stunt woman Ayesha Hussain and director Jackman became best friends and founded the female fronted film and action collective Babes With Blades.
Through rustic, Western-inspired vignettes, the documentary reveals the barriers to horse-riding and stunt work for women like Ayesha, such as race, gender and class, set against the emotive backstory of her mother’s passing during shooting, which inspired the custom design of her Levi's chaps.
