Rising pop artist Nadia Loren unveils this bold and captivating promo for her track Sad But True, directed by Relta through The Corner Shop.
Set in a traditional fish and chip shop, the film unfolds as a surreal sequence of repetitive and uncanny vignettes, heightened by striking colour grading. Each time Relta pans in and out of the same shot, a new character appears: a pregnant woman, a white-haired gentleman, an eccentric old lady in a fur jacket, a pierced man in leathers, a boxer, and even a plastic baby.
Amidst the chaos of childbirth, domestic arguments and impromptu discos, Loren remains a still point in the storm as she gazes into the camera, completely absorbed by the ache of unrequited love.
