MindsEye signs Matty Crawford

MindsEye welcome the BAFTA nominated Matty Crawford to its developmental roster, EyeCandy.

Crawford is a British Filipino writer-director who is one of the most exciting new voices in genre filmmaking. He is known for work that crosses genre, blending unflinching emotion with bold, visual storytelling. His latest short film, Stomach Bug, was nominated for Best British Short Film at the 2025 BAFTAs, and won the SXSW Midnight Jury Award.

He is a former Sundance Ignite Fellow and graduate of the National Film and Television School in the UK. His short films have gone to broadcast and screened at the most prestigious short film festivals, such as Toronto International Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival and SXSW, whilst collecting a number of awards including the San Francisco International Film Festival's Narrative Short Film Award, Best Live Action short at Warsaw Film Festival and a BFI Future New Talent Award.

Crawford is currently developing his first feature film.
