A new addition to the Plotworks roster brings director Daniel Wårdh on board for representation in Denmark.

Wårdh is recognised for a distinct visual style shaped by his early background in skateboarding and music culture. Born in Gothenburg, he began making skate films at a young age, travelling widely to document street culture before moving into commercial work. His portfolio now includes projects for KitchenAid, Zalando, Häagen-Dazs, The North Face, Vans and Apple.

“To me the tempo and attitude of skateboarding has always inspired me. It has been a lifestyle for so long and on a subconscious level it continues to influence my work. Or so I am told! To me it just feels natural. And as an avid record collector I find inspiration in music too. So when I read boards and scripts, to me the film I see and my interpretation comes from a mix of that,” said Wårdh.

His approach has led to campaigns that combine cinematic technique with authenticity, earning recognition across the industry. After starting his career at Acne, he quickly established himself with a distinct voice and vision.

“His visual language is instantly engaging, always finding a fresh approach and keeping the viewer glued to the screen,” said Tim Resdal, CEO and Executive Producer at Plotworks. “He directs with a certain authenticity to it. You can feel that he is no stranger to skate films, having created those since childhood.”

“He’s been on our radar for quite some time, and working with him is such a pleasure and it just clicks with our approach. I am really proud of adding him to our roster for representation in Denmark, and really look forward to bringing his unique voice to even more collaborations,” Resdal added.

“Plotworks is a small powerhouse that has already shown its potential in the projects we’ve created together,” said Wårdh. “Their strong team has truly reshaped my view of what a production setup can be. We share the same curious, collaborative approach to filmmaking, and I’m excited about the projects we’ll bring to life together ahead.”

Wårdh’s latest project, About Time for SofaCompany, launches on 16 September across eight countries. The campaign was created by agency Drum CPH and produced by Plotworks.
