We've all had the painful situation where we've brought a tasty beverage of our own liking to a get-together only to find that some sneaky buggers have pilfeed it away, leaving you with the generic stuff.
Clutching this insight firmly and letting it guide an entire campaign, Ogilvy New York's latest work for Stella Artois, Hiders Keepers, celebrates those who are a little more stealthy in their storage.
Presented in three straight-to-the-point spots, in which beverages are stowed behind familiar fridge fillers, the elegance of the work is in its pinpoint messaging.
“It may be the most self-explanatory ad you’ve ever seen," explains Samira Ansari, Chief Creative Officer for Ogilvy New York, "because it’s a real-life insight that we can all relate to. The images absolutely capture the desirability of Stella Artois in how they invite people to search for that one thing that should really stand out.
"Let’s just say from here on, I think a lot of people are going to look more closely in the fridges they open for that endlessly recognisable label.”
The social films are accompanied by a series of images, shot by renowned photographer Ale Burset, that are running across the US, UK, and Argentina, appearing on billboards, in magazines, newspapers, and across digital platforms.
