The Streets gets brutal

Brutalist architecture is among the most divisive forms of construction; some delight in the stark beauty of its concrete grandeur, others see little more than functional blocks without soul.

Sitting firmly in the former camp, if his latest promo is to be believed, is Mike Skinner, aka The Streets, whose track Utopia is paired with an impressive montage of of brutalist concrete buildings throughout Europe.

Shot during a tour with his band throughout the Summer(we believe by Skinner himself, though we're still looking for credit info), the video marries the lyrical content to the images on screen, providing a poetic visual interpretation of the song's theme of "abandoning the pursuit of perfection and instead embracing the reality of the present moment".
