Thinking Machine announces new representation
Katie + Co now represents the LA based commercial production company on the West Coast and AG Reps covers Texas.
The comedy centric commercial production company Thinking Machine, founded by the award-winning directing duo Docter Twins, has partnered with two new repping companies.
On the West Coast the company is now represented by Katie + Co, a talent agency and network for producers and creatives, repping high-impact talent. Thinking Machine has also aligned with Texas-based AG Reps, a management company for directors, editors, animators and composers founded by Alyson Griffith.
“As we expand our roster and grow our reach, we decided to sign with two of the most hard-working talent execs in the business,” said Thinking Machine Executive Producer Alon Simcha. “Texas is a fantastic, always evolving market and Alyson really has her finger on the creative core of the business there. Meanwhile, on the West Coast, Katie Ward is an inspired collaborator, with a great network of relationships and the inventive mind of a fellow creative. We’re excited about how both of these new partnerships will help us grow.”
"I was so excited when Thinking Machine’s executive producer Alon Simcha reached out,” said Griffith, “We’d worked together several years ago and I was thrilled to hear about his alliance with the Docter Twins. I’d followed them for quite some time and knew they were always putting out fresh, innovative work with a real sense of originality. After reconnecting with Alon and diving into Thinking Machine’s uniquely curated roster, it just felt like a great fit for me and the Texas market. I can’t wait to connect their creativity with the incredible community here."
"Thinking Machine's directors have a rare gift for uncovering authenticity in everything - finding the truths that make you laugh out loud or ache with feeling,” said Katie Ward. “Katie+Co is thrilled to amplify that blend of humor and heart, connecting them with agencies and brands excited for work that truly resonates. Together, our goal is simple: to bring more laughter, love and humanity into the ad space."
Thinking Machine’s most recent work includes the comedy-driven Starbucks Iced Energy Eye of Seth Meyers anthem spot directed by Jared Lapidus; a campaign for SNL’s 50th anniversary with NBCU Creative Partnerships x Maybelline and featuring SNL alums Vanessa Bayer and Cecily Strong, directed by Megan Brotherton; and FactSet’s award-winning Not Just the Facts campaign directed by Docter Twins. The Twins also directed back-to-back campaigns for Hackensack Meridian Health, which feature a diverse mix of people in visually driven, beautifully crafted lifestyle vignettes.
