In this comedic campaign from Uber, Buzzman taps into the universally uncomfortable experience of sharing a small space with a stranger – an awkwardness heightened by the ride-hailing company’s ultra-quiet electric cars.
The films, directed by Nalle Sjoblad through Birth Paris, capture in excruciating detail how normal noises – like the crunch of a crisp or the snuffles of a pug – become unbearably loud for mortified passengers, until the driver mercifully switches on the radio to break the tension.
While humorous and undeniably relatable, the campaign also subtly spotlights Uber’s shift toward quieter, more environmentally conscious electric mobility.
