Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, or Cardi B as she's known at work, is releasing her highly anticipated second studio album on 19 September.
To accompany the launch, this cinematic trailer, directed by longtime Cardi B collaboratorJora Frantzis, follows Cardi as she is beset by a crowd of crows who swarm her house.
The tension builds as the birds break in, shatter windows and flap around her menacingly, but in a final twist, the star emerges from the birdy brouhaha transformed: powerful and in command of the chaos.
Produced by Artifact, the film is slickly edited by Abandon's Val Thrasher, who revealed that “the video is part of a larger visual world for the album, carrying through to the cover art and merch. I felt lucky to be involved.”
