Things are looking up for Manscaped, whose rather splendid slogan is 'mancare your everywhere'. Long known for catering to men’s below the waist depilation situations, the brand’s new campaign, created by Special Group/US, invites men to reconsider sharing dick pics and rather focus on broadcasting above the neck snaps.
The Send Face Pics Instead initiative leads with a wittily scripted spot directed by comedy specialist Jess Coulter through O Positive.
Beneath the humour though is a more serious issue; Manscaped teamed up with Kwantlen Polytechnic University's O.R.G.A.S.M. Lab (yes, that’s really a thing) to conduct a study revealing that while 51 per cent of men have sent unsolicited photos, only 4 per cent of women responded positively.
Which underlines a rather worrying communication disconnect.
