The siblings bring their cinematic style, rich in humanity, nuance, and visual play to the award-winning production company for US & UK representation.
PRETTYBIRD, the award-winning production company led by Kerstin Emhoff, Ali Brown, and Paul Hunter, has officially signed THE COLES for commercial and music video representation in the US and UK.
The sibling duo, comprised of Sophie and Walker Cole, are known for their emotionally resonant and visually striking work that blends surrealism with grounded storytelling.
Raised in a filmmaking and advertising household, the New York-born, Connecticut-raised duo have carved out a distinctive niche since joining creative forces in 2016. Their shared background has resulted in a seamless collaboration that continues to attract attention from global brands and creative tastemakers alike.
Their work features conceptual filmmaking that gently challenges the edges of reality, bringing quirky, layered characters into focus with empathy and imagination. Previous campaigns include work for Hanes, Bellagio Hotel & Casino, NY Lottery, and Special K. Their 2019 short film Present Day, Athens earned Silver for ‘New Director’ at the 1.4 Awards and was shortlisted for 'Best Use of Humor' at the Young Director Award (YDA) in 2020.

Before becoming a directing duo, Sophie worked in fashion and costume design, while Walker was an art dealer. Their creative paths ultimately aligned when they began collaborating on a film project, sparking the start of THE COLES. They now join PRETTYBIRD’s diverse and critically acclaimed roster of filmmakers, including Academy Award-winning duo Daniels, Tim & Eric, and Janicza Bravo.
