FKA Twigs gets passionate about performance

Object & Animal director Jordan Hemingway helms this dark and inspiring promo for British music artist and performer FKA Twig’s track Childlike Things.   

Featuring North West (11-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian), filmmaker Kevin Smith and influencer/comedian Jake Shane, the film seamlessly shifts between acting and mesmerisingly choreographed musical scenes in which Twigs pitches an idea for a promo to her disapproving music label exec.  

The exec, who belittles Twigs - referring to her as a contortionist, mispronouncing her name, and alluding to her previous relationships with celebrity actors – disregards her childlike passion for creative discovery through dance, while touching on the issues music artists face such as lack of funding for promos, preferences for short-form content, and the increasing importance of streaming statistics.
