Nobody wants to look needy, but there are some situations when dancing around a cry for help probably isn’t worth it – calling SOS when your ship is sinking is definitely one of them.

This concept forms the brilliant premise of director Florence Poppy Deary’s first fully funded live-action comedy short, created by Wieden + Kennedy and brought to life by Biscuit Filmworks, wittily titled S.O.S...But Don't Worry If Not

Set on a dark, stormy night, the cinematic opening shot immerses us in the terror of a sinking ship, as the captain barks orders for a sailor to send an SOS via morse code, but to not be ‘weird’ or ‘needy’ about it. Upon receiving the vessel’s unusually nonchalant request for assistance, a lifeboat decides to pass on the rescue mission and put on a brew instead.
