We don't know whether it's a thinly veiled statement on the addictive nature of gambling, or if it's just a cracking visual idea for an attention-grabbing ad, but Jesse James McElroy's new spot for Picklebet had us in a headlock from its opening moments.
Taking place in a random dive bar, Get Your Pickle On sees the call of a jarred pickled cucumber seized on by a room full of oddballs, each reacting with delightfully peculiar and pointed choreography.
Created by agency Kerfuffle and shot through The Sweetshop, Sydney, this energetic and hugely enjoyable trip feels like a distilled music video, replete with masterful moves, sizzling camerawork and hilarious reactions.
