For the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Campari is collaborating with Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen on a signature twist on the classic cocktail Negroni.
To present the partnership, Campari has launched a spot directed by fellow Dane Martin Werner, produced by &Friends and made with AKQA.
The film is a classic cocktail homage with a radical twist, and a very distinct voice cameo by the director himself. It showcases Werner’s elite ability to direct both premium and humouristic ads with A-list celebrities, as he has done so often with names like Robert de Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio and more.
Put together in record time, the spot was filmed in Cannes during the film festival and released online globally within two days, while the festival was still going, benefitting from Werner and Mikkelsen’s relationship and mutual understanding from years of working together.
